What to Do

The Art Institute of Chicago
The Impressionist collection is a must-see, as is the medieval arms and armor exhibit. Don't forgot to visit the basement where the Thorne Miniature Room is!

You can buy tickets here.

Gem: A Vintage Collective
This is Kelsey's vintage store! Located in Logan Square, this strip of Milwaukee Ave. houses several vintage and thrift stores worth checking out.

Stop in at The Brewed for a delicious coffee and kouign-amann!

We're located at 2894 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Garfield Park Conservatory
Kelsey's favorite place in the city. Superior to the Lincoln Park Conservatory in every way!

Make a reservation beforehand here.

Chicago River Boat Architecture Tour
Not only does this tour give you a gorgeous view of the city, you'll also learn about some of Chicago's more impressive buildings. We love this tour and highly recommend it!

Several companies offer this tour, but here is a link to book with the Chicago Architecture Center.

Chinatown
Chicago's Chinatown neighborhood is the second largest Chinatown in the U.S.!

We recommend checking out Ichiban Candy for a variety of unique snacks, Joy Yee for milk tea and fresh fruit smoothies, and Strings Ramen for... ramen!

We also suggest taking a stroll through Ping Tom Memorial Park while you're there.

International Museum of Surgical Science
The International Museum of Surgical Science is an overlooked gem! It has exhibits that feature artifacts and information about both Eastern and Western medicine throughout history. Morbid? Yes. But also super, super neat!

You can buy tickets at the door or here.

Wicker Park Neighborhood
The strip of Wicker Park located where North Ave., Damen Ave., and Milwaukee Ave. intersect is a super fun place to shop. There are a ton of vintage stores along this strip, along with familiar retail spots and boutiques.

Stop at Wormhole for coffee or Jeni's Ice Cream for a treat while you shop!

Bahá'í House of Worship
The Bahá'í House of Worship in Chicago is not in Chicago. It's actually located in Wilmette! But it's totally worth the trip up north to see the beautiful architecture and surrounding gardens. Don't miss the museum inside that explains the history of the Bahá'í faith!

We recommend taking a rideshare, but the train does drop you off a short walk from the temple.
