We met the modern way... on Hinge! We had our first date over Skype and ended up talking for hours. Our first in-person date was in Evanston, where we wandered along the lakefront, had a poke picnic, and talked for what felt like forever. Our togetherness felt natural.

During a trip to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, we decided to make things official. I moved myself into Alex’s apartment one item at a time (though to be fair, he did say I could keep a few things there). And we’ve been together ever since!

Alex proposed on an ordinary day. We had breakfast, took a walk, and were chatting on the couch when he excused himself to “put something away in the kitchen.” I flopped over and got comfy, only to look up and see him kneeling in front of me, saying very nice things that I quickly realized were part of a proposal. I said yes (obviously!).
